Iran Has the Bomb

Did that get your attention?  How close are they?  According to Israel they will have a working nuclear bomb in months or less. So what will happen then?   Will they try to use it on Israel as they have promised?  Will they try to use it on us?. While we are busy bombing the desert sands of Iraq and Syria, Iran is not stopping its development of weapons of mass destruction.  While we are concerned with climate change and Ebola in far off lands we still have open and free borders.

When will we as a people quit being led around by news cycle liberal nose rings?  ABC says to focus on ISIS and we forget the open border and the terrorists streaming across into this country.  NBC tells us global warming is going to kill us all  although the models themselves were proven to have been manipulated.  Even though this year shows more Antarctic ice than ever before in history, and even though there has been no increase in average global temperatures over the last 20 years NBC still tells us that it is a crisis.  The American sheep lap it up like starving dogs in the butcher house.

CBS says that there is a war on women because the government won’t pay for their birth control, while real women across the world are beaten, sold as slaves and imprisoned as property under Sharia law.  Yet, the polls move as if this fictional war on women was real.

When are we going to stop listening to the propaganda machine?  We are following the holier than thou media into a life far less prosperous and free.  We should stop buying from their advertisers and start pushing them to tell the truth about what matters, rather than tell us lies about what does not.

Plus Size Prom Gowns and Obomacare

If you go to Yahoo News you will immediately see stories about the Fort Hood gunman, someone’s daughters messy room, and about a tatoo gone awry.  Out of 100 or so stories on the main scroll there is not one about Obomacare.    If you search for “Affordable care act not affordable” , or “Lost Coverage”, or “Can’t Afford”, the majority of links that come up are either rosy, showing how great Obomacare is or how well it has done, or critical of the United State’s healthcare system pushing for more government control.

Information about the huge increase in premiums for most of us, or the doctors who have opted out, or about the increase in deductibles is not there.  I did see a story about how someone who said their premium became unaffordable was lying.  Oh, my gosh,  it is search engine propaganda.  The news, the true impact of this law is being filtered out from the majority of what people see.  That makes Yahoo, Google and ABC, CBS, and NBC all responsible for the destruction of healthcare in this country.

If you advertise on these outlets, you also are responsible.   I urge all advertisers who promote their stuff on biased media to pull their advertising.  News is expected to be unbiased.  If it is a tool of the regime in power it is the same as Pravda or any state run news outlet.  Why would you advertise on an outlet that is controlled by the state?   When people figure out what is happening, and they will eventually, you as an advertiser will pay the cost.

I urge everyone to stand up against propaganda.  Demand the truth from news outlets without bias and without a blatant attempt to hide the truth.  Boycott the products advertised on these sites.  Kick out any journalist that is not doing an unbiased job.  Stand up for what is right.

Our Failing Educational System

In all the hubbub about common core, which is already starting to create havoc in our schools systems, I seldom see anyone ask what type of product our school systems need  to produce.  To look at some of the exam questions today the answer might be that we are trying to produce avid environmentalists, or crusaders for social justice.  Instead of molding our youth to become successful career minded, conscientious, independently thinking positive contributing members of society we are inundating them with propaganda and government approved theories of how society ought to function.

Yes, education should accomplish specific things.  Below is a list of the things I see that should be part of a minimal education.  Judge for yourself, but I do not see our system as doing these things consistently.

1.)  Reading — every child should graduate high school and be literate.

2.) Writing — every child should be able to write coherently.

3.)  Arithmetic — every child should have master addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication and basic Algebra.

4.) American History — every child should know why we exist and the history behind out Constitution.

5.)  World History — every child should have a general understanding of world history, of empires and wars, atrocities, and governments.

4.) Science — every child should have a firm foundation in chemistry, physics, and biology.

5.)  Economics — every child needs to understand how goods and services are produced and how that results opportunity.

6.) Critical thinking and memorization  — every child should be taught critical thinking skills and be required to memorize substantial amounts of material ranging from history to multiplication tables.  The most important thing education can do is train children’s minds so that they can absorb the skills needed in an ever increasingly technological world.

You can teach someone a set of manual skills which when that process becomes automated those skills become out of date.  However, if you train someone how to manage the automation they can now work in multiple industries at a higher wage than when it was just manual labor.    Further, if schools will provide their students with basic set of work conventions and expectations skills then the graduates would be better prepared to support themselves and their families.

Education in this country has been on path where it is not meeting the goals outlined above.  Nevertheless it costs more than ever.  It is not about the money, it is about the curriculum and the time focused on having standards for the students.  Many of the processes in Common Core, although advertised as creating those standards, actually lowers the standards and dumbs down the curriculum.  That is why home-schooled children often outperform their in public school counterparts.  If the focus was education and met the goals above our society would reach new heights.
