Questions for Real Reporters

Are you tired of the media interviewing key government people such as Obama, Kerry, or Hillary and getting no information because the media refuses to probe into any real depth.  Let’s take this ISIS business for example.

Here are some better questions:

Why are we arming the free Syrian Army when their main goal is to get rid of Assad, not ISIS?

If we give arms to the free Syrian Army how are we going to make sure that they use it to attack ISIS?

How do you know those arms won’t fall into ISIS’s hands?

What makes you think that the free Syrian army wants to do anything other than help ISIS?

Don’t both groups want to kill Assad? Doesn’t that put them on the same side?

Won’t arming these people be giving arms to radical Muslims?

Will more Americans die because we are arming the free Syrian army?

Who is in charge of vetting these folks before we give them US arms and munitions?

How has the free Syrian army treated Christians?

Why does Secretary Kerry do everything he can to deny this is a war?

Why does Obama completely ignore the advice of his military advisers?’

Why are we sending 3000 troops to stop Ebola, but next to none to stop ISIS?

Is Ebola a greater threat to us than ISIS?

How are our troops trained in handling viral pandemics?

Doesn’t it put our troops in danger of catching the disease and bringing it back?

Doesn’t sending our troops, who are medically untrained into an Ebola hot zone put their live at risk and the live of Americans back home at risk?

Why does CBS, ABC and NBC not ask these questions?  Do they want Americans to be at risk?

Plus Size Prom Gowns and Obomacare

If you go to Yahoo News you will immediately see stories about the Fort Hood gunman, someone’s daughters messy room, and about a tatoo gone awry.  Out of 100 or so stories on the main scroll there is not one about Obomacare.    If you search for “Affordable care act not affordable” , or “Lost Coverage”, or “Can’t Afford”, the majority of links that come up are either rosy, showing how great Obomacare is or how well it has done, or critical of the United State’s healthcare system pushing for more government control.

Information about the huge increase in premiums for most of us, or the doctors who have opted out, or about the increase in deductibles is not there.  I did see a story about how someone who said their premium became unaffordable was lying.  Oh, my gosh,  it is search engine propaganda.  The news, the true impact of this law is being filtered out from the majority of what people see.  That makes Yahoo, Google and ABC, CBS, and NBC all responsible for the destruction of healthcare in this country.

If you advertise on these outlets, you also are responsible.   I urge all advertisers who promote their stuff on biased media to pull their advertising.  News is expected to be unbiased.  If it is a tool of the regime in power it is the same as Pravda or any state run news outlet.  Why would you advertise on an outlet that is controlled by the state?   When people figure out what is happening, and they will eventually, you as an advertiser will pay the cost.

I urge everyone to stand up against propaganda.  Demand the truth from news outlets without bias and without a blatant attempt to hide the truth.  Boycott the products advertised on these sites.  Kick out any journalist that is not doing an unbiased job.  Stand up for what is right.

Propaganda — Living with Nazi’s

Perhaps you think that comparing today’s political and social environment to that of the German Nazi’s is unfair.  You say, as so many in the past have said, “It will never happen here!”   I will admit, at least to my knowledge, our government has not implemented death camps, but there are a lot of similarities that are worth exploring.  Nazi atrocities began when basic freedoms, those guaranteed by our constitution, were no longer protected by the German government.  This is occurring in the US today, specifically regarding the freedom of the press, the freedom from unreasonable search and seizure, the freedom of religion, and the right to free speech.   These freedoms are all being eroded and their dismantling is being aid by a not so free press corp.

Let’s look at free press first.  The majority of Americans get their news from the major press outlets, ABC, NBC, and CBS.  Although their share of the market has dwindled because of the internet, their influence remains dis-proportionally large.  Whether from the morning daily shows, the evening news, or from the network interjection into radio news throughout the day, Americans are subjected to a primarily one size fits all broadcast.  When each network did its own investigations and discovery there was a certain variety in those broadcasts.  At that point it was possible to get differing views of world events.  Over the past several years, the networks no longer investigate many of the stories they broadcast. Instead they repeat, almost verbatim the press release they get from the White House or its affiliates.    What the consumer hears is the same exact words that started with a speech writer in the White House.   Key phrases are repeated across stations and venues.   There is no investigation, no questions, and no determination as to whether the information is true.  When that occurs, whether the press is formally controlled by force or not, it is propaganda and the press is no longer exercising free speech.    Even worse, the constant repetition of catch phrases is a blatant attempt to brain wash the populace.    I am not sure which is worse, that the media is trying to brain wash its audience or that it thinks it can.

Actually, our government and its affiliates have it even better than did the Nazi’s.  When someone in the mainstream press disagrees on air with the White House/Governmental message, that person is drummed out of the press corp.  (Juan WilliamSharyl Attkisson).  Those that disagree are marginalized.  Those that seek the truth are purposely pushed out or to the side.  It appears that the culprit is the press corp itself which in order to promote an agenda has abdicated it role as the keeper of truth.  They have voluntarily become the persecuting arm of the government.  You can even see this in how they approach politicians they disagree with such as Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann.  A press that is no longer interested in the truth is one that is no longer free.

The right not to have your personal effects searched by the government without a specific and personal warrant no longer exists.  As part of the effort to prevent terrorism, data on everyone’s cell phone calls, the from who, the to who, and the when and where made from is collected.  A government that is tracking the location of the majority of its citizens and that records each citizen’s associations has more power than one that just gets neighbors to spy on neighbors.  It is more intrusive that the KGB or Nazi’s, yet this is not stopped.  Even when it comes out that the CIA is spying on Congress, it is not stopped.   As long as these activities continue there is no privacy and no protection from unreasonable search and seizure.  It is happening every day to pretty much every US citizen.

One of the arguments that has been made to justify the collection of data about every citizen is that the data is not used to target anyone other than terrorists.  No one state the obvious.  If the data is being used to identify terrorist, they sift through everyone to pluck out the suspected bad guys.  Everyone is guilty until the computer says otherwise. Additionally, Tea Party groups, conservative groups,  and some Jewish groups were admittedly targeted by the IRS for harassment and in such a way as to limit their effectiveness.  That targeting, described by many of the victims,  included not just IRS audits, improper questions, and tax considerations, but also, OSHA inspections, ATF investigations, and FDA involvement.  From this it is clear that government is targeting those that if feels are its enemies.  It is trying to intimidate them into not speaking up and to keep them at home during elections.  The requirement in the constitution  that the law be applied equally to all is gone.  They can round you up, destroy your business, and limit your activities at will.  Where is ABC, CBS, and NBC while this goes on.  They are complicit in this and are not protecting freedom.   The less we watch those channels and outlets the less viable their adverting will be.   The best way to get these organizations to do their job is to stop watching.  That stops the advertising.  At that point either they become factual and relevant or expire.

Lastly, lets discuss freedom of religion.  Even though the constitution guarantees the government shall make no law respecting an establishment of religionrecent court cases, the implementation of Obamacare and the unequal application of this provision to enhance the position of Muslims and atheists have eroded the religious freedoms guaranteed by the constitution.  The government through Obamacare is trying to enforce its view that everyone should be able to get a paid for abortion through the law even though it violates the religious beliefs of millions of individuals.  Moments of silence have been banned in some schools while Muslim student have been given an opportunity to pray 5 times a day in others.  The bottom line is those with Judeo-Christian beliefs are under attack and the government is actively trying to marginalize their right to believe as they would.

Already the executive branch itself and through the regulatory agencies is implementing law far beyond the powers granted through the legislature.  Persecution is happening. Religious freedom and political discourse are being controlled. Is it Nazi Germany?  Not yet.  It took the Nazi’s 10 years to fully control the populace and to remove any vestige of freedom.  The assault on gun ownership is also a sign of the attempt by our government to discard the constitution.  We are at a point now, where if people do not stand up and say “No More.”  we are on that road.  It can happen here.  All it takes is the loss of one freedom, then the next.  Like the frog in the pot of water on the stove.  It does not know it is about to be boiled until it is too late.    It is time to get out of the pot before it is too late.

Unpopular Facts – Cheese and Freedom

Years ago when my puppy was still a puppy he would escape out the front door or slip out under the fence.   I would have to chase him through the neighborhood with the hope of wrangling him back into the house.  So there I was, old and slow while he was young and on four legs.  No matter how much I called his name he sensed freedom.  He would stop, look at me, then head on his merry way.  We would resort to waiving a piece of American cheese to entice him near enough so that he could be captured.   After a while he caught on to that and even cheese would not wrangle him back into the house. The call of freedom was greater than the slice of cheese.  Ten years later,  after all this time being told that he is to stay within his territory, it takes a lot of effort to get him to cross even out the front door.    Over time and repetition he has learned what is expected of him.  Pavlov accomplished the same thing with his dogs.  He produced a conditioned response in them through food and repetition.  They lost their will toward freedom.  For a dog that is ok, but what about for an American?

The media in the United States has treated the majority of the American population just like we treat our pets.  By repeating stories with expected behavioral outcomes the media has trained much of the populace to not even recognize the truth when it is presented.    The mindless absorption of network news, TV talk shows, and custom storylines has been used to shape public opinion in ways that belie the truth.  Telling you that you have been manipulated is certainly not popular.  You may be the exception that not been manipulated by the barrage of media opinion, but I would suggest that even those who fully recognize the manipulation cannot completely escape it.  The effort to control your thought and behavior is constant and when coming from news organizations who profess the truth first, it’s disgraceful.

Much of today’s media view the populace as automatons, robotic sponges that will absorb the philosophy they espouse.  Often based on purposeful misrepresentation their goal is to herd the populace in ways that support their narrative.    One of the clearest examples of this is the concept of politically correct speech.  The idea that people should be able to state their opinions without a forceful backlash has faded significantly during my lifetime.  Now, stating an unpopular opinion is cause for vile backlashes and threats.    The media instead of holding up the first amendment is purposely participating in its destruction by reinforcing the idea that certain words are bad or that only idiots would believe in any form of creationism.  The truth of ideas and the value of their debate in society is squashed by a media that no longer supports the first amendment.  Limiting speech helps keep the populace in line and encourages them to support the media favored approach to government.

Below is a partial list of ideas that the media is now pushing.  I hope it provides food for intellectual thought.

That man made global warming is a fact although the last 15 years has seen no such change in global temperature.

That a baby, even at 7 months is not really a life and to argue otherwise is to hate women.

That there is no connection between a stable family and a successful life.

That people have to have a government benefit to survive. (The inner cities have had these the longest.  What does that say?)

That dignity does not come from having a productive life.

That the government knows best to provide for your healthcare.

That NSA spying on peoples phone calls without an individual warrant is not a violation of the 4th Amendment.

That the constitution is an outdated document.

That fossil fuels are bad even though we live in one of the cleanest most prosperous countries. (Horse dung was bad.)

That everyone should have as much sex as possible just for fun.

That taxes fuel the economy. (More people out of work now than in 40 + years.)

That the rich are stealing from you.

That you are entitled to something for nothing. (Eventually those providing the something for nothing will stop providing it.)

That communist/socialist states are doing well. (Argentina is in revolt,  people in Cuba can’t get a car newer that 1960)

That people need big government.  (Smaller government produces far more prosperity—it is proven.)

That guns kill, not the people with the guns.  (There is a reason for the 2nd Amendment.)

The media and government are counting on our believing these and many other lies so we will hand our power and prosperity over to the helping hand of big brother.  Freedom is not free.  If we do not stand for truth and demand of the media that they start reporting things in an unbiased, agenda free way.  They, along with your government will steal both your freedom and prosperity.
